Problem Statement

• Video games and computer games are affecting society and it could be in a negative way

• A thorough study of how video games were affecting lives but had insufficient evidence that playing video games for more than two hours per day could be considered an addiction

• If video games are affecting people’s lives in a negative way that could have an impact on the entire society

• If people stop showing up for work or school:
  • The may lose their jobs, marriage, not finish school
  • Businesses could be impacted monetarily and in timeliness

• The stakeholders in this research are:
  • Parents of children who play video games, wives and husbands of gamers and employers of gamers

Research Questions

• How are video games affecting high school teenagers?
• How many teenagers are affected by video game addiction?
• How are video games affecting individual lives of teenagers’ education?
